This grotto was built just after the end of World War II and was donated by Mr. and Mrs. Ted Piper to the Immaculate Conception Caltholic Church. It is just north of the church on Illinois 40, which used to be Illinois 88, about half way between Rock Falls and Princeton. It is made of cut stone (granite?) and geodes that were reportedly brought from Missouri. It was restored in 2002.
Ohio, Illinois
