Robert Wadlow of Alton, Illinois, was the Tallest Man Who Ever Lived, or at least the tallest in the last century or so.
This life-sized statue is on a college campus in Upper Alton. Unfortunately, it's black and difficult to separate from the background in this photo.
I'm six foot two (188 cm), so you can see what a tall man he was.
