It was raining and overcast, and the lighting was generally just horrible for this photo.
These Madonna of the Trail statues were placed along U.S. 40, one per state, in the 1920s.
This one, in Snyder Park, is also facing the start of a limited access interchange. I had to stop on the shoulder of the highway westbound to get to it. It was either that or hike through the golf course.
