The best part about this monument is that, while it is on the site of Lincoln's birth, the cabin isn't really the one he was born in. It was marketed as such, but it turned out to be a fake after it had been placed and the big building put around it. The guide will reluctantly admit this if you ask directly, although she'll same something lame, like "it is symbolic of the cabin in which Lincoln was born".
The people are blurry because I had to brace against the wall and take a long exposure.
